KUWAIT, January 6. /Dunyo IA/. Interest in Uzbekistan as a tourist destination has been rising sharply among Kuwaiti travelers, according to a report published in the daily newspaper “Al-Jarida”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
A diplomat from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait noted that approximately 1,000 Kuwaiti citizens visited Uzbekistan in 2025, double the number recorded the previous year.
The newspaper highlighted that the growth in Uzbek-Kuwaiti tourism was driven by the active efforts of tour operators in both countries, who develop tailored travel programs for Kuwaiti tourists and promote them in the market. These initiatives, the diplomat said, not only increase interest in Uzbekistan but also enhance the quality of services provided to visitors.
Tourism in Uzbekistan is increasingly seen not only as an economic sector but also as a platform for cultural exchange. In 2025, the country welcomed over 11 million international tourists, averaging about one million visitors per month, reflecting steady growth and sustained interest in Uzbek destinations from abroad.
The report emphasizes that ongoing reforms, new projects, and expanded international cooperation have contributed to record achievements in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, further strengthening its position as a regional hub for cultural and recreational travel.
