“Pakistan in the World”: Uzbekistan Has Put Forward 116 Global Initiatives Within the OTS Since Joining the Nakhchivan Agreement in 2019

ISLAMABAD, May 18. /Dunyo IA/. The Pakistani newspaper “Pakistan in the World” has published an article highlighting Uzbekistan’s role in strengthening economic cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the material, since joining the Nakhchivan Agreement in 2019, Uzbekistan has put forward 116 global initiatives within the framework of the organization, more than half of which have already been successfully implemented.
The publication notes that economic cooperation within the OTS continues to demonstrate steady growth. In 2025, trade turnover among member states increased by 9.6% and reached $10.8 billion. By early 2026, more than 4,300 enterprises with the participation of capital from member countries were operating across the organization’s states.
The article also highlights Uzbekistan’s strategic partnership with Türkiye and the active development of economic ties with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Hungary.
In particular, the publication points to a 37.1% increase in trade with Kyrgyzstan, the expansion of investment cooperation with Azerbaijan, the development of cross-border trade with Turkmenistan, and the intensification of high-tech projects involving Hungary.
The newspaper concludes that the consistent implementation of these initiatives confirms the effectiveness of Uzbekistan’s policy within the organization and its active role in promoting regional cooperation.
