LONDON, September 25. /Dunyo IA/. British magazine “Food and Travel” published a 12-page article about Uzbekistan under the title “A Taste of the Silk Road” in its October issue, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication introduces the international audience to the historical and cultural heritage of the country, its gastronomic traditions, natural landscapes, and modern tourism opportunities.

Special attention is paid to Samarkand and Tashkent, as well as historical sites such as the Registan Square and the Shah-i-Zinda Mausoleum. The authors also highlight Uzbek cuisine, including plov, somsa, manti and shashlik, alongside restaurants, bazaars, bakeries, and wineries. Specifically, it features the “UzumFermer” family winery, which has restored around 125 grape varieties from across the country.
