“Turkinform”: Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s historic visit to Serbia marks a new stage in bilateral relations

ANKARA, September 11. /Dunyo IA/. Turkish information portal “Turkinform” has published an analytical article dedicated to the official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Serbia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication emphasizes the historic nature of the visit, which marked the first visit to Serbia by the President of Uzbekistan in the history of bilateral relations. Author notes that the talks in Belgrade open a new stage of multifaceted cooperation and strengthen high-level political dialogue.

The sides exchanged views on the current state and promising areas of cooperation, highlighting the traditionally friendly ties between the two peoples as a foundation.

Particular attention in the article is given to symbolic gestures of hospitality: in homer of the arrival of the Uzbek delegation, one of Belgrade’s prominent architectural landmarks, “Kula Belgrade” skyscraper, was illuminated in the colours of the national flag of Uzbekistan. The article concludes by emphasizing that the outcomes of the meetings in Belgrade will lay a solid foundation for making contacts more regular, deepening mutual trust and launching new joint projects.
