ASTANA, July 3. /Dunyo IA/.  Specialists from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan discussed modern methods of mineral raw material analysis, increasing the accuracy of research, and the implementation of new laboratory technologies, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with reference to the “inbusiness.kz” news agency.

As part of international cooperation, specialists from the East Research Mining and Metallurgical Institute for Non-Ferrous Metals (VNIItsvetmet) visited the Central Laboratory of JSC “Uzbekgeologorazvedka” and the Analytical Laboratory Complex in Samarkand. They familiarized themselves with the scientific and technical approaches applied by their Uzbek colleagues.

Meeting participants discussed the testing of ores and their processing products, the participation of laboratories in proficiency testing programs, the application of modern research methodologies and the implementation of new technical solutions in the field of analytical control.

Kazakh specialists presented their experience in conducting laboratory testing of mineral raw materials, detailing the development and application of modern testing methodologies, use of certified reference materials and the assurance of analytical result reliability at the VNIItsvetmet Testing Center.

According to the experts, such an exchange of experience contributes to the advancement of laboratory research, enhancing the accuracy of analytical control and the operational efficiency of enterprises in the mining and metallurgical sectors.

Larisa Kushakova, Deputy Director for Applied Research and Testing at the “VNIItsvetmet” branch of the RSE “NC CPMR MS RK”, noted that professional exchange allows for the study of new technological solutions, the improvement of internal processes and the strengthening of the quality management system.

It was noted that the VNIItsvetmet Testing Center is a modern accredited laboratory where testing methodologies in geology, mining, and metallurgy are continuously refined and implemented. The center also develops and certifies reference materials for quality control of mineral raw materials and industrial products, verification of analytical research accuracy, calibration of laboratory equipment and metrological certification of methodologies.

The center's developments are utilized by enterprises in Kazakhstan and neighbouring countries. The Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan emphasized that international cooperation contributes to the development of unified approaches to laboratory research, enhancing the quality of analytical support for geological exploration and the implementation of modern technologies in industry.
