Pakistani newspapers “Daily Independent” and “Islamabad Post”, as well as online media outlets “World News Pakistan”, “The Diplomatic Insight”, “The World News” and “Infora News”, have published articles covering legal reforms and systemic changes in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publications highlight that, in recent years, the fight against corruption has become one of the central priorities of state policy and reform in Uzbekistan. The process, which began with legislative modernization, has gradually evolved into a comprehensive transformation encompassing institutions, management practices and the system of public administration.

It is emphasized that Uzbekistan is now developing an integrated anti-corruption model, combining legal reforms, digital governance, public accountability and international cooperation.

Article notes that one distinctive feature of Uzbekistan’s approach is the use of digital transformation to reduce human bias and subjective decision-making in the provision of public services, as well as the institutionalization of transparency through digital tools.

Pakistani media also report that in 2020, Uzbekistan established the Agency for Combating Corruption, accountable to the President and responsible to Parliament. In addition, national and regional anti-corruption councils were formed, and special committees were established in Parliament. Currently, an annual National Report on Anti-Corruption is submitted to Parliament, allowing for the assessment of achieved results, identification of existing challenges and ensuring political accountability.
