STOCKHOLM, June 16. /Dunyo IA/. The traditional festival of national dishes and beverages “ADS Beer and Food Fair”, organized by the Association of Diplomats, has been held in the capital of Sweden, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Sweden, which presented their national cuisine dishes and cultural traditions. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, who organized a national stand, also actively participated in the festival, which gathered over 300 guests from the diplomatic corps, the Swedish public, and representatives of various sectors.

In the Uzbek pavilion, the guests were presented with the best samples of national cuisine. Furthermore, the visitors were informed about the country’s rich gastronomic heritage, traditions of hospitality, national values, as well as opportunities in the sphere of gastronomic tourism.

At the conclusion of the festival, the Uzbek national cuisine was highly praised by the jury and participants, thanks to which the Embassy of Uzbekistan took a worthy place among the winners in the “Best National Cuisine” nomination.

Within the framework of the event, meetings were also held with representatives of the Swedish public, diplomatic circles, and business, during which prospects for promoting Uzbekistan’s gastronomic potential, launching national products into external markets and developing trade and economic cooperation were discussed.

It should be noted that gastronomic diplomacy serves as one of the effective tools for demonstrating the cultural identity of countries and strengthening mutual understanding between peoples. The result achieved at the festival once again confirmed the growing interest in the rich national cuisine and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
