MUSCAT, June 14. /Dunyo IA/.  A presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held in the capital of Oman, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event, held on the eve of the launch of direct flights on the Muscat–Tashkent route from July 3^rd, was organized jointly with “Oman Air” under the theme “Discover Oman and Uzbekistan: Developing Bilateral Tourism Ties”.

The event was attended by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the airline Hamoud Al Alawi, representatives of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman, heads of more than ten leading tour operators and travel companies of the country, as well as influencers and bloggers popular in Oman.

Within the framework of the conference, representatives of leading tourism companies of the Samarkand region, led by the head of the regional tourism department, joined the event in an online format.

Participants were presented with the rich tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan, the book “Discovering Uzbekistan” by the Russian author Daria Sirotina published in English, as well as a presentation of the “Visit Oman” project prepared by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of Oman.

In addition, representatives of “Oman Air” spoke about the schedule and conditions for operating the new flights on the Muscat - Tashkent route.

The presentation received wide coverage in the leading media outlets of Oman and aroused great interest among the public of the Sultanate, as well as representatives of the country's tourism industry.
