ТASHKENT, June 16. /Dunyo IA/.   Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the 5^th Tashkent International Investment Forum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, Mikhail Mishustin conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The discussion focused on practical issues related to implementing agreements made at the highest level in the context of strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia.

The steady growth in trade turnover was noted with satisfaction. Its volume has increased by 20 percent since the beginning of the year. Major projects in energy, metallurgy, and other priority sectors of the economy continue to be implemented.

Special focus was given to implementing comprehensive measures to sustain trade and economic cooperation and to supporting industrial collaboration projects.

Leader of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of expanding practical regional cooperation and encouraging cultural and educational exchange initiatives.
