Danish Export and Investment Fund explores project financing opportunities in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, June 23. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), led by Managing Director and Head of Origination Werner Grub, attended the V Tashkent International Investment Forum and held bilateral negotiations with a number of ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meetings, the sides comprehensively reviewed the opportunities for attracting Danish technologies, investments, and financial support into vital sectors such as industry, agriculture, water conservation, energy and healthcare.
In particular, during the negotiations with the leadership of “Uzsuvtaminot” JSC and the Ministry of Energy, special emphasis was placed on integrating modern, energy-efficient Danish technologies into the water supply system of Uzbekistan, alongside the implementation and financing of high-potential projects in water management and the energy sector.
The EIFO representatives emphasized that leveraging the fund's credit resources on preferential terms could significantly contribute to the modernization of the Republic's water supply infrastructure, the reduction of energy consumption, and the integration of advanced solutions in the energy sector to enhance overall industrial efficiency.
Following the negotiations with “Uzsuvtaminot” JSC, the parties agreed to elaborate and submit specific project proposals to EIFO, meticulously tailored to the development needs of the country's regions. Concurrently, an agreement was reached with the Ministry of Energy to sustain an active dialogue aimed at exploring prospects for attracting Danish technologies and financial instruments.
