NOVOSIBIRSK, June 22. /Dunyo IA/.  Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov, met with the Rector of the Siberian State University of Engineering and Biotechnology Evgeny Rudoy, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the educational progress of our students at the university, their academic performance levels and various other aspects concerning the daily life and living conditions of the Uzbek students.

Rector of the university particularly emphasized his strong interest in increasing the number of students from Uzbekistan, specifically in technical disciplines such as irrigation and land reclamation, soil science and agriculture, and biotechnology. Furthermore, the university is deeply interested in attracting our master’s and postgraduate students to continue their education and engage in fruitful scientific research.

Uzbek side proposed organizing a broader educational process by conducting joint lectures both at the university itself and at the Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. These lectures would cover specialties such as hydrology and hydrogeology, the operation of hydro-reclamation systems, and the organization and management of greenhouse farming.

Russian side accepted the Consul General's proposal to organize a visit of the university leadership to Uzbekistan to exchange experience and sign relevant cooperation agreements with the Tashkent State Agrarian University and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers.

It was specifically noted that Uzbek students are under the reliable protection of the state, and the Consulate General remains fully prepared to continue providing all necessary assistance and support in resolving any matters during their studies at the higher education institutions of Novosibirsk.
