ISTANBUL, April 19. /"Dunyo" IA/. Within the framework of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Istanbul, the Forum of Young Parliamentarians was held, "Dunyo" IA's correspondent reports.

According to the upper house of parliament, the delegation of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva, and members of the Youth Parliament put forward important initiatives and proposals.

At the forum, lively discussions took place on the role of young legislators in building a just, safe, and sustainable world. Participants exchanged views on how to carry out consistent work to involve youth in parliamentary and state processes and to expand their participation in decision-making. The event noted that, in the context of global changes, in particular geopolitical tensions and the complexity of economic relations, the importance of parliamentary diplomacy is increasing.

Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva emphasized that in today’s conditions, young parliamentarians are becoming not only participants in political processes but also an important force contributing to the strengthening of peace and the formation of a fair global economy.

In conditions of growing protectionism, disruption of supply chains, and economic polarization, the impact is intensifying, especially on developing countries and youth. Therefore, ensuring international tax transparency and directing financial resources to education, healthcare, digital transformation, and youth support is gaining relevance.

Within the framework of the Forum, a video was presented dedicated to the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will be held on September 4–6 of this year in the city of Samarkand. It clearly and convincingly highlighted the essence and significance of the upcoming conference, its international importance, and the high organizational potential of Samarkand. The video aroused great interest among forum participants. They highly appreciated the reforms aimed at supporting the youth of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that this initiative was put forward by the President of Uzbekistan at the 150th jubilee Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and is aimed at expanding global dialogue and cooperation among young parliamentarians.

Uzbekistan advocates strengthening international cooperation, especially further expanding dialogue and exchange of experience in the field of youth parliamentarism. From this perspective, this 12th Global Conference is considered an important international platform.
