GATCHINA, September 7. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Olimjon Abdullaev, visited the sites of “Velesstroy” and “ERA Construction” companies in the Leningrad Region of Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Delegation's visit was conducted as part of the systematic work on the consular and legal protection of compatriots.

During the negotiations with the companies' management, issues regarding the protection of the rights of Uzbek citizens, their working and living conditions, as well as rapid interaction with Uzbek diplomatic missions abroad were discussed.

At the meetings with compatriots, the mechanisms for obtaining consular and legal assistance, along with the provisions of Russian migration and labour legislation, were clarified.

Citizens were also recommended to register for consular accounting to maintain continuous contact with diplomatic missions abroad.

In total, the outreach events covered more than 500 citizens of Uzbekistan.

Following the visit, an agreement was reached to continue direct interaction with the companies for the prompt resolution of arising issues and the protection of the rights of compatriots.
