Egyptian сompany eyes road infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan

CAIRO, July 23. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of Uzbekistan met in Egypt with Amr El-Shenawy, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of the International Technical Construction Company (ITCC), to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation in infrastructure development, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

ITCC specializes in construction and real estate development, implementing projects not only in Egypt but also in Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Brunei, and Benin. The company has extensive experience in the construction of administrative buildings, commercial complexes, highways, bridges, and multi-storey residential developments for both the public and private sectors.

During the meeting, Amr El-Shenawy expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan, particularly in the construction of roads and bridges. He proposed the joint implementation of modern highway and bridge projects using high-quality construction materials.

The Egyptian side also presented an innovative solution involving the use of specialized protective coatings designed to prevent asphalt deterioration caused by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. According to Amr El-Shenawy, this technology could significantly extend the service life of road surfaces while reducing maintenance and repair costs.

In addition, ITCC expressed interest in establishing a manufacturing facility in Uzbekistan to produce the materials required for these protective systems, noting its readiness to supply high-quality products at competitive prices.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed that ITCC would soon provide detailed information on its completed projects in Egypt and other countries, along with specific proposals for cooperation.

The sides also agreed to organize a visit by Amr El-Shenawy to Uzbekistan in September–October this year to assess the local market and road infrastructure, as well as to hold discussions with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies on prospective investment projects.
