Chinese experts briefed on current state of Uzbekistan–China relations

• 80BEIJING, December 14. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing hosted a high-level "roundtable" focused on the country’s international initiatives and prospects for Uzbekistan-China relations, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event brought together leading experts from Chinese analytical centers, the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and representatives of the media.
Participants were briefed on the large-scale reforms underway in Uzbekistan under the "Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy", aimed at further developing the republic and enhancing citizens’ welfare.
Special attention was given to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s international initiatives presented at the UN General Assembly and SCO summits. Chinese experts were also updated on the current state of Uzbekistan-China relations, which continue to demonstrate steady growth across key areas - from political dialogue and security cooperation to comprehensive trade, investment and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.
A presentation highlighted Uzbekistan’s trade, investment, and tourism potential, emphasizing opportunities for expanded collaboration.
Piao Yangfan, Deputy Secretary-General of the SCO, stated:
"Today, we were briefed on the current state of Uzbekistan-China relations and the achievements of our joint work on multilateral platforms".
Han Hua, Secretary-General of the Beijing Dialogue, added:
"Participants of today’s roundtable gained comprehensive insights into the dynamic development of China-Uzbekistan relations in 2025, the nature of cooperation on multilateral platforms, and the degree of support for the initiatives of our leaders".
The delegation emphasized the unique opportunity to witness Uzbekistan’s significant achievements in state-building firsthand, highlighting the country’s consistently high GDP growth and effective poverty reduction efforts inspired by international best practices.
"Uzbekistan-2030 Strategy" aligns closely with China’s development plans, paving the way for ongoing experience-sharing and a stronger joint contribution to the sustainable development of Central Asia, advancing a proven model of regional cooperation.
