Fergana Regional Russian Drama Theater Presents performances in cities of the Russian Far East

• 197VLADIVOSTOK, June 2. /Dunyo IA/. From May 25th to June 7th, the troupe of the Fergana Regional Russian Drama Theater is conducting a tour in the cities of Vladivostok and Ussuriysk in Russia's Primorsky Krai as part of the “Big Tours” program, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The tour is organized by the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution “Rosconcert” in accordance with the All-Russian Tour and Concert Plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. As part of the program's international segment, the Primorsky Academic Regional Drama Theater named after Maxim Gorky and the Ussuriysk Drama Theater named after Vera Komissarzhevskaya are scheduled to host performances of “The Moon for Shah Bahram”, “The Power of Talent” and “All Mice Love Cheese”.
At the beginning of the tour, a press conference and a solemn opening ceremony for the tour of the Fergana Regional Russian Drama Theater took place at the Primorsky Academic Regional Drama Theater.
The event was attended by diplomats from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Vladivostok, representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, the Fergana Regional Russian Drama Theater, the Primorsky Academic Regional Drama Theater, the diplomatic corps, as well as over 40 local media outlets and bloggers.
The play “The Moon for Shah Bahram”, dedicated to the love between the Persian Shah Bahram and the Chinese Princess Dilorom, was presented to an audience of 800 spectators. The production is based on a work included in the “Khamsa” poetic cycle by Alisher Navoiy, written in the Chagatai language in 1484.
Following the conclusion of the performance, guests and audience members were treated to Uzbek national cuisine, including palov, somsa and other traditional dishes.
