“Global Korea Post”: Uzbekistan and Belarus advance to a new stage of industrial cooperation

SEOUL, July 8. /Dunyo IA/. South Korean newspaper “Global Korea Post” has published an article dedicated to the prospects for developing trade-economic and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication highlighted the regular dialogue maintained at the highest level - including the state visit of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, to Uzbekistan in 2024 and the recent high-level meeting with the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko as well as the proceedings of the 3rd Interregional Forum of the two nations currently convened in Minsk.

Particular emphasis is placed in the article on how the trade partnership is progressively maturing into full-scale industrial cooperation, with operational joint ventures for tractors and agricultural machinery, cabling products and footwear, alongside developing projects in the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

It is specified that the interests of the two sides advantageously complement one another, with Belarus possessing extensive industrial processing expertise and technologies, while Uzbekistan offers a robust raw material base, an expanding market, and a dynamically evolving economy.

“The primary objective is to forge a solid manufacturing foundation that will integrate into new value-added chains”, - South Korean newspaper underscores.
