ISLAMABAD, July 24. /Dunyo IA/. Pakistan’s electronic publication “Infora News” has published an article titled “Central Asia and Azerbaijan: Strategic Partners Building a Green Energy Hub Together”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Article notes that cooperation between Central Asia and Azerbaijan in the energy sector has reached a fundamentally new level thanks to the policy of mutual trust, friendship and good-neighbourliness pursued by the leaders of the states.
Large-scale energy initiatives, which were previously viewed only as promising prospects, have now entered the practical implementation stage and are contributing to the sustainable development of the region and the global “green” transformation.
According to the publication, the key project in this area is the “Green Corridor” initiative being implemented by Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, the legal framework of which was strengthened by the Agreement on Strategic Partnership signed in Baku in November 2024 on the sidelines of COP29.
It is emphasized that Azerbaijan’s participation expands the geography of cooperation and forms a strategic direction connecting Central Asia with Europe, while the project itself is designed to become not merely an export corridor, but a platform for creating a unified integrated electricity market in the region, enhancing the interconnectivity of energy systems and attracting investments.
