WARSAW, November 5. /Dunyo IA/. Polish information and analytical portal “Kierunek Kaukaz” has published an article entitled “Is Donald Trump Planning to Visit Uzbekistan?”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Article was prompted by remarks by U.S. Special Envoy for Global Partnerships Paolo Zampolli, who stated in a televised interview during his recent visit to Tashkent that Uzbekistan is on the list of countries Donald Trump intends to visit. “I know he wants to come to Uzbekistan. The President’s schedule is extremely tight, but he told me that he wants to visit Uzbekistan. We hope this visit will take place as soon as possible”, Paolo Zampolli noted. No specific date for the visit has been announced so far.

According to the U.S. diplomat, the level of contact between Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Donald Trump is “exceptional”. As the publication writes, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has repeatedly invited the U.S. leader, while the U.S. administration has been strengthening relations with Central Asian countries over the past 18 months, prioritizing access to the region’s abundant critical minerals.

Portal separately highlights U.S. support for Uzbekistan’s efforts to develop the country into a regional aviation hub. Tashkent International Airport served 5.4 million passengers in the first six months of 2026, a 17 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Passenger numbers also increased in Samarkand, Bukhara and Termez.

Article also cites a forecast by “Boeing”, which identifies Central Asia as one of its most important growth markets. In 2025, Uzbekistan committed to purchasing 22 long-haul “Boeing 777 Dreamliner” aircraft.
