URGENCH, September 13. /Dunyo IA/. A mission of Chinese medical specialists visited the Khorezm region. The delegation comprised 18 doctors and representatives of Children’s Hospital of Fudan University, “Sir Run Run Shaw” Hospital, the “Future Smile” Foundation and “Meihao Tuoxin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, during the visit, 68 children underwent medical examinations at the regional multidisciplinary children’s medical center, while 30 patients received free surgeries in urology, maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery, orthopaedics and general surgery.

Practical training was also organized for doctors from regional and district medical institutions. The medical center received a videolaryngoscope as technical assistance.

The cooperation is being developed in accordance with a memorandum between the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the Future Smile Foundation. In 2025, 18 Uzbek pediatricians received training in Hangzhou, while in September Chinese specialists examined 94 children and performed 30 free surgeries. In addition, 50 local doctors underwent training at the National Children’s Medical Center in April this year.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation also traveled to the Samarkand and Fergana regions. A preliminary agreement was reached with the Fergana Regional Multidisciplinary Children’s Hospital to perform surgeries on children in the first half of 2027.

Separately, representatives of “Meihao Tuoxin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.” held talks with the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry on establishing production of medical equipment and medical-cosmetic products in Uzbekistan.
