Tashkent to host Spanish and Uzbek companies at Agritech Forum on October 29–31st

MADRID, September 13. /Dunyo IA/. Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX), Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Spain and Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan will hold an agricultural technology conference in Tashkent, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Madrid, event will take place on October 29–31st, 2026 and will focus on developing business ties between Spanish technology companies and representatives of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, as well as exploring prospects for cooperation in Central Asia.
Program will include presentations, roundtable discussions, practical sessions and bilateral B2B meetings between Spanish companies and Uzbek producers, distributors and enterprises operating in the agri-food sector. Visits to agricultural enterprises and production facilities are also planned.
According to ICEX, Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector is undergoing large-scale modernization, with growing demand for machinery and components, modern irrigation systems, greenhouse equipment, post-harvest technologies, plant protection products, digital solutions and agronomic engineering services.
A separate focus will be placed on projects to develop energy-efficient greenhouses in the Surkhandarya region, which ICEX considers a promising area for introducing modern technologies and equipment.
Participants will have an opportunity not only to present their solutions, but also to assess the needs of the agricultural sector, establish contacts with potential partners, and explore opportunities to enter the Uzbek market.
