Kyrgyz citizens allocated 20 scholarship slots for studies in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan

BISHKEK, August 18. /Dunyo IA/. For the 2026/27 academic year, 20 quota slots have been allocated for citizens of Kyrgyzstan to study in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan on the basis of state grants, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with reference to the “Kabar” Kyrgyz National Information Agency.
Selection of candidates for the allocated slots will be conducted by Osh State University.
Following undergraduate fields of study are available to Kyrgyz applicants: early childhood education - four slots, computer engineering - four, agronomy - four, water management and land reclamation - two, ecology and environmental protection - two and civil engineering -four.
Instruction in the higher education institutions of Uzbekistan is conducted in the Uzbek and Russian languages. For studies in the Uzbek language, Latin script is utilized; therefore, candidates’ proficiency in the Latin alphabet is also taken into consideration.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the chosen language of instruction and pass examinations in two specialized subjects. The exam is evaluated on a five-point grading scale.
Documents will be accepted until August 22nd, 2026. The entrance examinations will take place on August 24th at 08:00 in the main building of Osh State University.
To participate in the competitive selection process, applicants must submit an application form, a copy of their diploma or certificate of general secondary or secondary vocational education, a copy of their passport, a medical certificate of the established format in Russian and photographs.
