SAMARKAND, October 20. /Dunyo IA/.  American astronaut-researcher and Chief Astronaut of Axiom Space Michael López-Alegría, shared his assessments of the investment climate in Uzbekistan and the prospects for cooperation in the field of space technologies with a correspondent of Dunyo IA.

- Axiom Space is a company dedicated to the development of space infrastructure. We design and manufacture spacesuits and a space station, as well as conduct private crewed missions to the International Space Station. We would be very pleased to see Uzbekistan as part of this international cooperation.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has expressed his intention to send an Uzbek astronaut into space. Since Axiom Space is an American company, we would be delighted to have the opportunity to welcome a representative of Uzbekistan onto one of our private space missions.

To date, we have already executed four such missions, which included 12 clients from 11 different countries. We would like to continue expanding the geography of our programs and add Uzbekistan to the list of nations represented in international crewed space missions. This would mark a significant step in the advancement of space cooperation and open up new opportunities for interaction in the high-tech sector.

Judging by what I have heard today, Uzbekistan is very actively seeking new opportunities to foster business and international cooperation. The country is creating favourable conditions for both business-to-business (B2B) engagement and business-to-government (B2G) collaboration, which helps attract investment and develop long-term business partnerships.

Therefore, I believe that Uzbekistan possesses great potential and represents a highly promising destination for foreign enterprises to conduct business. Conditions are being established here that can facilitate the implementation of new projects, the advancement of technological cooperation and the attraction of international partners.
