DUSHANBE, October 20. /Dunyo IA/. Viktor Kim, Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, in an interview with Dunyo IA, commented on the outcomes of the working visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan, which took place on October 14-15th:
- The Seventh CICA Summit in Baku marks a fundamental shift in global politics: a new security architecture is taking shape across Eurasia, where the “Central Asia – Caspian – South Caucasus” macro-region is influencing the core rules of the game for the first time.
Central Asia has definitively moved past its status as an object of external 'great games' and has established itself as a consolidated subject of international law. While the “Central Asia – Caspian – Caucasus” macro-region does not possess a massive GDP, it holds the most critical asset - a monopoly on continental interconnectivity.
Uzbekistan serves as the connecting link of this new Eurasia. Tashkent’s strategic course toward integrating transport, digital and energy corridors from the Pamirs to the Caucasus and the Middle East provides CICA with what it had lacked for 30 years - a practical geo-economic foundation. A historical milestone is being shaped in Baku: it is precisely in the heart of Eurasia that a new continental stability is being forged today.
