RIYADH, September 10. /Dunyo IA/.  An article on the signing of a five-year cooperation agreement between Qatar Museums and the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation has been published on the portal of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s information agencies, the OIC States Broadcasting Union, reports Dunyo correspondent.

Publication notes that the agreement is intended to establish a long-term institutional framework for strengthening cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Qatar. Agreement was signed by Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation and member of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums Maryam bint Ali Al Misnad and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation Gayane Umerova.

Chairperson of Qatar Museums Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani emphasized that the initiative opens up broad opportunities for specialists from both countries to learn and work together.

Article notes that the agreement forms part of Qatar’s cultural diplomacy and the “Years of Culture” initiative. The document covers artist exchange programs and artistic residencies, joint exhibitions, and the development of design, crafts, fashion, film, music and culinary arts, as well as the preservation and protection of Islamic cultural heritage.
