Winners of the Republican “In the footsteps of the Jadids” Contest visit Germany

Winners of the “In the footsteps of the Jadids” republican contest and participants of the research project “Turkestan Literature in Germany” by the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan took part in a series of scientific, educational and cultural events in Berlin and Hamburg, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, a delegation held meetings at leading educational and research institutions to examine Germany’s school and higher education systems, university operations, and the academic environment for foreign students. The visit aimed to explore university, library and research environments within the country.
Within the framework of the program, a presentation titled “New Uzbekistan: The 35th Anniversary of Independence and the Modern Generation of the Jadids” was hosted at the Humboldt University of Berlin, alongside the unveiling of the inaugural book of the “Turkestan Literature in Germany” scientific project. The participants deliberated on the examination of the Jadid heritage and the advancement of academic cooperation, while engaging in an exchange of views with German scholars and students.
Presentations dedicated to the history of the Jadid movement, masterpieces of Uzbek literature, and the outcomes of scientific research were hosted at the University of Hamburg. The cultural program featured performances by school students, who recited poetry and performed traditional dances and musical compositions, introducing the German audience to the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
Delegation also visited a primary school in Berlin, where they familiarized themselves with the organization of the educational process, modern teaching methodologies, and the student upbringing system. Furthermore, the participants attended events organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, including a meeting with compatriot educators operating in Germany.
According to the head of the research project "Turkestan Literature in Germany," Professor Shakhnoza Madaeva, the visit contributed to strengthening scientific and educational ties between Uzbekistan and Germany, expanding international cooperation in studying the Jadid heritage and popularizing educational traditions.
The organizers note that the program contributed to broadening the horizons of the participants, reinforcing the interest of the youth in historical heritage, modern education and international academic cooperation.
