BEIJING, July 1. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan has organized a festive event in Beijing on the occasion of Youth Day, with the participation of compatriots living and studying in China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Participants were briefed on the large-scale reforms being implemented across various sectors in Uzbekistan, as well as the state policy concerning youth development and the comprehensive support provided to compatriots residing abroad. Particular emphasis was placed on the pivotal role of the younger generation in further advancing these reforms and driving the nation's progress.

Representatives of the diplomatic mission emphasized that protecting the rights and legitimate interests of the citizens of Uzbekistan, as well as providing them with comprehensive assistance, remains one of the primary tasks of the Embassy. It was separately noted that owing to state support for youth and sports development, Uzbek athletes continue to achieve high results on the international arena.

As part of the celebrations, a friendly football tournament was held with the participation of representatives of the Uzbek diaspora. The guests were also invited to partake in national cuisine and enjoy performances of traditional Uzbek songs.

Lobar Abdumajidova, a graduate of the University of International Business and Economics, noted that she was delighted to participate in the event dedicated to Youth Day.

- We constantly experience the state's profound attention to the youth. We firmly intend to apply the knowledge we acquire in China for the benefit and development of our nation, - she stated. - This year, we mark a significant milestone - 35^th anniversary of our independence. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone on this auspicious occasion.

Sherzod Arslanov, a student at the Beijing Foreign Studies University, emphasized that extensive opportunities are being created in Uzbekistan to support the younger generation.

We, as compatriots studying in China, will actively leverage these opportunities and contribute our share to the development of our Homeland. I extend my congratulations to our fellow compatriots on this festive occasion, - he stated.
