Under the Chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan, public appeals related to the fuel and energy sector reviewed

ТАSHKENT, July 17. /Dunyo IA/.   Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on citizens’ appeals regarding the fuel and energy sector and on measures to address the issues raised in preparation for the autumn-winter season, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, analysis of citizens’ appeals, the identification of local problems from those appeals, and the adoption of targeted measures play an important role in ensuring a stable supply of electricity and natural gas for the population.

In the first half of 2026, 39,220 appeals related to the fuel and energy sector were received, which was 13,820, or 26.1 percent, fewer than in the same period last year.

Of these, 50 percent concerned the supply of natural and liquefied gas, while 38.3 percent related to electricity supply.

Citizens’ appeals mainly raised issues related to filling liquefied gas cylinders, power supply disruptions, the construction and repair of electrical networks and natural gas pressure.

Despite the decline in the overall number of appeals, it was emphasized that each appeal should be regarded not as an isolated case but as an important signal of problems in a specific area, sector, or service.

Ahead of the autumn-winter season, tasks were set to study mahallas and facilities with a high number of repeated appeals, inspect the technical condition of the electricity and gas networks, and develop targeted regional plans to address the identified shortcomings.

Importance was emphasized of prioritizing repairs to electrical networks and transformer substations in areas where power outages occur most frequently, enhancing the preparedness of emergency response teams and ensuring stable gas supplies in communities experiencing natural gas pressure issues.

In addition, the need was noted to strictly adhere to schedules for filling and delivering liquefied gas cylinders to the population and to mobilize additional reserves and resources in districts with particularly high demand.

Head of State emphasized that the systemic problems raised in citizens’ appeals must be resolved before the start of the autumn-winter season, with systematic work carried out in cooperation with local hokimiyats, the “mahalla of seven” and public utility organizations.

Instructions were given to complete preparations for the season in a timely, high-quality manner and to ensure a stable supply of natural and liquefied gas, as well as other fuel resources, to the population and social facilities.
