Ambassador of Uzbekistan meets with the Director-General of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property

ROME, May 22. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abat Fayzullaev met with Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral, Director-General of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The head of the organization expressed satisfaction with Uzbekistan's accession to ICCROM in 2024 and specifically noted that the memorandum of understanding with our country was signed in record time. According to Aruna Gujral, this demonstrates the high level of attention paid to the cultural heritage sector in the republic, as well as the effectiveness of the reforms implemented under the leadership of the head of state.
During the meeting, information was presented on the activities implemented by ICCROM in the Samarkand region, as well as the organization's close cooperation with the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.
Given the special significance of our country's rich cultural heritage for the global community, Aruna Gujral announced that she would gladly visit Uzbekistan this year.
