RIYADH, May 22. /Dunyo IA/. The World Peoples' Cultural Heritage Festival was held at King Saud University, reports Dunyo correspondent.

With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, as well as the participation of Uzbek students studying at this university, a national pavilion of Uzbekistan was organized at the festival.

In the pavilion, large-scale presentations dedicated to the tourism potential of our country were showcased. The participants and guests of the festival were informed about the extensive opportunities created in Uzbekistan for the development of international tourism.

Special attention was paid to the unique architectural monuments and rich cultural heritage of such historic cities as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Tashkent, as well as the country's picturesque nature, centuries-old traditions of folk crafts, customs and holidays that annually attract millions of tourists from all over the world.

Visitors were also presented with information about Uzbekistan's rapidly developing modern tourism infrastructure, high level of service, and state policy for the development of medical, gastronomic, ecological and winter tourism. Saudi guests showed particular interest in modern tourist complexes built in the country's picturesque mountainous regions.

Guests of the national pavilion of Uzbekistan were able to familiarize themselves with a photo exhibition dedicated to the most beautiful corners of our country, as well as with products of national crafts.

Visitors were offered dishes of Uzbek national cuisine, natural honey, dried fruits and sweets produced in Uzbekistan. Foreign experts and the university management visited the Uzbek pavilion with great interest, noting that it stood out favourably among the expositions of other countries due to its unique flavour, authenticity and pronounced national spirit.
