ТАSHKENT, June 18. /Dunyo IA/.   President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Sultanate of Oman led by the country’s Minister of Economy Khamis bin Saif Al Jabri, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings to the President of Uzbekistan from the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

The parties exchanged views on intensifying cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, and financial spheres.

Dynamic contacts and growth in trade turnover were noted. Important projects are being successfully implemented with the participation of the Uzbekistan – Oman Investment Company. Direct air service between the capitals of the two countries will launch next month.

An agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission in Muscat this year.

During the conversation, particular attention was given to promoting promising projects in transportation, logistics, geology, e-commerce, digital infrastructure and other areas.
