RIGA, September 14. /Dunyo IA/. With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Uzbek manufacturers participated in the “Riga Food” international exhibition in Riga with a unified “Made in Uzbekistan” stand, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Stand featured fresh and processed food products, confectionery, jams, and non-alcoholic beverages produced in Uzbekistan. Visitors showed particular interest in the expanded product assortment.

Within the framework of the event, representatives of Uzbek companies held negotiations with major retail chains, importers and distributors from the Baltic states, discussing market requirements, supply conditions, certification, logistics and entry into retail networks.

Representatives of foreign companies expressed interest in establishing direct business ties with Uzbek manufacturers and noted the growing recognition of and demand for products from Uzbekistan in Latvia and other countries of the region.

Following the exhibition, preliminary agreements were reached to sustain contacts with potential importers and distributors, as well as to process the export of Uzbek products to Latvia and their further promotion in the Baltic markets.
