RYAZAN, June 16. /Dunyo IA/. A series of events aimed at strengthening intercultural dialogue, developing cooperation with compatriots, and popularizing the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan was held in the city of Ryazan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

At the end of May, at the initiative of the “Almaz” Uzbek National-Cultural Autonomy in the Ryazan Region, the International Ethno-Festival “Synthesis of Cultures” took place. The event became the final stage of the “Fashion with an Accent” project, gathering over 200 participants from Uzbekistan, Russia and Belarus, including designers, fashion designers, masters of folk arts and crafts and representatives of creative professions.

Within the framework of the festival, clothing collections combining traditional and modern motifs of the peoples of the region were presented. Particular interest was aroused by works in which elements of Uzbek decorative and applied arts, national fabrics, and artistic imagery of the East found a modern design embodiment.

According to the head of the “Almaz” Autonomy Zulaykho Kadirova, such projects contribute to strengthening cultural ties between peoples, developing mutual understanding, and preserving the rich spiritual heritage for future generations.

At the beginning of June, Ryazan was also visited by a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the Deputy Director of the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rustam Nazarov.

Delegation also included representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Youth Affairs Agency, the Migration Agency, the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Foreign Compatriots, Bukhara Regional Prosecutor’s Office, as well as Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow.

During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the authorities of the Ryazan Region and educational institutions of the region. The primary focus was placed on improving mechanisms for organized and legal labor migration, as well as strengthening legal and educational support for citizens of Uzbekistan.

The event participants confirmed the high level of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia and expressed interest in further expanding interaction in these areas.
