Kyrgyzstan Media on the prospects of expanding bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia

OSH, July 3. /Dunyo IA/. Kyrgyz information and analytical agency “Alliance-press” has published an article dedicated to the development of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia against the backdrop of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Tbilisi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Publication notes that the parties intend to increase the volume of mutual trade to 1 billion dollars, expand investment cooperation, industrial cooperation and transport and logistics ties.
Agency emphasizes that between 2017 and 2025, trade turnover between the two countries tripled, increasing from 89 million to 267.6 million dollars. Among the promising areas of cooperation are the textile, electrical, pharmaceutical, chemical, and agro-industrial sectors, as well as the development of transport infrastructure, including leveraging the capabilities of the Middle Corridor and the terminal at the Georgian port of Poti.
According to the agency's assessment, the further development of the partnership will depend on the implementation of joint trade, investment and infrastructure projects.
