TASHKENT, June 30. /Dunyo IA/. Today, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with Hassan Hamza Hashim, Ambassador of Qatar to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, during the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, paying particular attention to the prospects for expanding cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, transport and logistics, as well as culture and humanitarian affairs in the context of promoting the sustainable development of Afghanistan.

Qatari side highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s consistent efforts aimed at supporting the socio-economic recovery of Afghanistan and underscored the important role played by Tashkent in promoting regional stability and development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening Uzbekistan - Qatar cooperation, expanding practical cooperation on regional issues, and continuing a regular and constructive dialogue on matters related to Afghanistan.
