ANKARA, September 25. /Dunyo IA/.   Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Khaydarov met with the President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) Serkan Kayalar, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, technical assistance projects in the fields of social protection, healthcare, culture, education and other priority areas were reviewed. Specifically, as part of an initiative to expand access to medical services in rural areas of Karakalpakstan and ensure rapid diagnosis, mobile ultrasound machines were delivered to medical institutions across 12 districts.

Furthermore, the equipment installation for the “Muruvvat House” for children with disabilities in the Andijan region has been completed. Additionally, the necessary permits have been obtained for the restoration of the mosque located within the Ark Citadel in Bukhara, with work scheduled to commence in the near future.

As part of a project dedicated to the 35^th Anniversary of Uzbekistan's Independence, there are plans to deliver 35 neonatal incubators to maternity wards in the country's regions and 35 interactive whiteboards to technical colleges between October and November. This initiative is being implemented at the behest of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ankara, in cooperation with the ministries of foreign affairs and healthcare of both countries.

TİKA operates through 63 Program Coordination Offices in 61 countries and has implemented over 33,000 projects and activities across more than 170 nations.
