• 129DOHA, June 13. /Dunyo IA/. A presentation dedicated to the Imam Bukhari Complex in Samarkand was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Qatar, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by about 100 representatives of Qatari universities and research centers, leading Islamic scholars, media and business circles.
The participants were presented with information about a large-scale project implemented on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that the Head of State announced the construction of the complex from the UN podium.
The program of the event also featured a scientific and spiritual section dedicated to the legacy of Imam Bukhari. Specialists emphasized the significance of his works for the development of Islamic science, especially highlighting the book “Al-Jami as-Sahih”, recognized as one of the most authentic sources after the Quran.
Video materials about the complex, which opened on March 19, 2026, were demonstrated and aroused great interest among the participants. It was noted that in a short time, the complex was visited by more than one million pilgrims and guests.
During the presentation, the participants highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to preserve and popularize the rich spiritual heritage and perpetuate the memory of the great scholars of the Islamic civilization.
Chairman of “Al Sulaiteen Group”, Abdullah Salem Al-Sulaitin, noted the high appreciation of the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan to promote the heritage of the scholars of Maveraunnahar and the humanistic essence of Islam, emphasizing their significance for strengthening intercivilizational dialogue.
Following the results of the event, representatives of Qatari scientific and public circles expressed interest in visiting the complex and further developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation with Uzbekistan.
