BERLIN, March 27. /Dunyo IA/. An international festival titled “Spring and Renewal” was held in the center of the German capital, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was organized jointly with the communities of countries celebrating Nowruz living in Berlin, bringing together representatives of various cultures on one large cultural platform. The festival became a space where the ideas of spring, renewal, and a “New Day” found vivid expression, showcasing the universal significance of Nowruz to a broad audience.

As part of the festival, guests were able to experience the culture and art of Uzbekistan, its national traditions, and the celebration of Nowruz through diverse programs prepared by the society “San’at - Forum für Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft e.V”.

Festival opened to the traditional sounds of karnays and surnays. National booths, a handicraft fair, concerts featuring various ethnic groups and interactive workshops were prepared for the guests.

Special attention was given to the music and dances of Uzbekistan. Artists from the “Milliy Meros” ensemble of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan demonstrated the richness of the national musical and dance heritage, drawing loud applause from the German public. Renowned dancer Malika Khaidarova conducted a master class on Uzbek national dance, where guests were able to learn the subtleties and refinement of the Fergana style.

Festival allowed guests not only to observe but also to actively participate in immersing themselves in the atmosphere of Uzbek culture. Through music, dance, national dishes and rituals, Uzbekistan showcased its rich cultural heritage and traditions of hospitality.

The event also held diplomatic significance, strengthening cultural ties with the German public and promoting national values on the international stage.

Zukhra Rakhmatova, the head of the “San’at - Forum für Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft e.V”. society, festival curator and one of the organizers, noted:

“We prepared meticulously to celebrate Navruz in Germany at a high level. Our goal was to showcase culture, art and traditions of Uzbekistan. The sounds of the Uzbek karnays and surnays in the “Berlin Palace” touched everyone's hearts and captivated the audience. Many guests expressed their admiration upon seeing the national costumes and fascinating customs. As a result of our work, interest in Uzbekistan has grown not only among the participants but also among the festival organizers - many of whom expressed a desire to visit our country soon. Events like this are an excellent opportunity to present the beauty of Uzbek culture to a global audience. Our presentations clearly demonstrated the peace, harmony and friendliness of people of all ages. Happy Navruz to everyone!”.
