Uzbekistan and Algeria expand the agenda of economic cooperation

TASHKENT, June 11. /Dunyo IA/. Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion of Algeria Kamel Rezig, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Our meeting with H.E. Kamel Rezig, Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion of Algeria, provided an opportunity to bring new substance to the agenda of economic cooperation between our countries, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel - We are confident that the economies of Uzbekistan and Algeria possess significant complementary advantages. Our countries play an important role in strengthening ties between Central Asia and Africa.

Discussed increasing bilateral trade, developing new logistics corridors, promoting direct business-to-business contacts, implementing joint investment projects, and expanding industrial cooperation.

Also put forward proposals to launch an Intergovernmental Joint Commission, establish a Business Council, organize a “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition in Algiers, and create new opportunities for entrepreneurs from both countries”.
