Uzbekistan and Hungary deepen strategic partnership in education, science and innovation

BUDAPEST, October 7. /Dunyo IA/.  A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary with Antal Németh, Representative of the Rector of Óbuda University, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, prospects for further development of Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation in higher education, science, innovation and training of highly qualified personnel were discussed.

Special attention was paid to implementing joint initiatives between Óbuda University and Uzbek higher education institutions and industrial enterprises, including the further development of the Scientific and Innovation Technopark in Jizzakh.

Hungarian side confirmed its interest in continuing and expanding Óbuda University's participation in joint educational, research and innovation projects. This includes the development of engineering education, academic mobility, as well as personnel training and professional development.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in training specialists for the chemical industry, as well as expanding interaction in artificial intelligence, digital technologies and modern approaches to emergency management.

As part of the further development of cooperation, a visit of Óbuda University representatives to Uzbekistan is planned for October 2026. During the visit, meetings will be held with representatives of Uzbek higher education institutions and relevant agencies.

Parties confirmed their readiness to continue a constructive dialogue and implement new joint projects aimed at strengthening the long-term academic and innovative partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
