Uzbekistan opens its tourist routes to Germany

HEILBRONN, December 23. /Dunyo IA/. An event promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and introducing German travel companies to opportunities for cooperation was held in major economic regions of Germany, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event took place in the city of Heilbronn, one of Germany’s key economic and industrial centers, and was attended by travel companies, local tour operators, and members of the public interested in visiting Uzbekistan.

During the opening of the event, representatives of the Embassy welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the “New Uzbekistan,” highlighting the country’s growing international reputation and achievements resulting from large-scale reforms. In particular, it was noted that, thanks to comprehensive measures to develop the tourism sector, Uzbekistan has been receiving over ten million tourists annually since 2024 and is recognized as one of the safest countries for travel.

The presentation titled “Tourism Opportunities in Uzbekistan” showcased not only the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva — jewels of the Great Silk Road — but also new tourist attractions recently opened in other regions. Participants were informed about the state-created comfortable conditions and incentives for foreign tourists, the availability of high-quality hotels and gastronomy services, direct flights and high-speed trains, as well as the possibility of a 30-day visa-free entry for German citizens.

In addition, long-term German partners collaborating with Uzbek travel companies presented “Travel to Uzbekistan!” and shared insights into routes most attractive to German tourists. Akbar Fakhriev, an Uzbek tour guide currently residing in Germany, also shared his personal experience, emphasizing that traveling to Uzbekistan not only opens new horizons but also contributes to the cultural and spiritual enrichment of visitors.

“Through the international cooperation program of the Sparkasse Foundation, I have been working on banking development projects for 15 years, particularly in Central Asia and especially in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan has become like a second homeland to me. For this reason, I organize trips twice a year for fellow citizens interested in our country. After this event, about ten participants expressed interest in joining next year’s trip, which I consider a successful outcome,” said Natasha Mundinger.

“Uzbekistan is a new destination for our company. Preparations are currently underway, so participating in this event was very useful and productive for us”, - noted representatives of SommerTour.

Uzbekistan’s attractive tourism potential was also showcased through films and videos prepared by the Tourism Committee. Participants received informational materials about tourist destinations and opportunities in various regions. Guests were treated to an Uzbek culinary display, and compatriots performed national songs and dances, adding a special charm to the event.
