KREMS, September 11. /Dunyo IA/.   In the Austrian city of Krems, diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Dieter Faltl, Director of the School of Viticulture and Fruit Growing in Krems, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Founded in 1875, the school celebrated its 150^th Anniversary in 2025 and today integrates theoretical learning, practical training, and the development of entrepreneurial skills.

School accommodates over 100 students from nine countries, with the educational process supported by 53 instructors and specialists. Practical training is conducted on the school's own 18-hectare vineyards and covers the complete cycle - from raw material cultivation to the manufacturing of finished products.

School’s infrastructure includes a wine cellar, laboratory, sensory studio and specialized workshops. It produces 70 different types of beverages.

Particular attention was paid to the “Weinmanagement” program, which has been implemented for more than 30 years. It combines production technologies with quality control, sensory analysis, sommelier culture, marketing, sales, financial accounting, business management and wine tourism.

During the meeting, the sides discussed internships and short-term educational programs for Uzbek specialists and teachers, joint seminars and expert exchanges, the adaptation of elements of the “Weinmanagement” program to Uzbekistan’s educational curricula, as well as the development of wine and gastronomic tourism.

Dieter Faltl expressed the school’s readiness to share its expertise to develop Uzbekistan’s human resources in wine production and quality management, as well as marketing, noting its interest in long-term partnership.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the participation of a delegation from the school, headed by its leadership, in the international “Global TVET&Skills Summit” under the auspices of UNESCO, which will be held in Tashkent on October 26–28^th, 2026.
