ANKARA, May 20. /Dunyo IA/. A cultural event titled “Uzbekistan – Presentation Day”, organized with the participation of compatriots living in Türkiye, was held in Ankara, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting was supported by the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). The event was attended by around 400 Uzbek and international students, as well as guests of honour.

As part of the opening ceremony, a video presentation was showcased, highlighting Uzbekistan's rich history, ancient culture and modern tourism potential. The opening also featured performances reflecting the national traditions and values of the Uzbek people.

During the creative segment of the program, students recited works by the great thinker and poet Alisher Navoi, as well as Muhammad Yusuf's poem “Iqror” (The Confession). Additionally, national dances and stage performances—including the “Doira Show”, “Andijan Polka” and “Lazgi” - were presented, generating immense interest among the attendees.

At the conclusion of the event, guests were served traditional Uzbek pilaf, and the evening continued to the accompaniment of national musical compositions.

International participants praised the event's rich program and warm atmosphere, emphasizing that such initiatives foster a closer acquaintance with Uzbekistan's culture and strengthen intercultural dialogue.
