RIGA, May 16. /Dunyo IA/. A futsal tournament for compatriots living, working, and studying in various cities across Latvia was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Twelve teams formed by representatives of the Uzbek diaspora took part in the competitions. The tournament became a platform for communication, sharing experiences and strengthening ties between compatriots.

It is noted that the event contributed to increasing the diaspora's activity, expanding participation in public life and strengthening mutual assistance among Uzbeks abroad.

The winners and runners-up of the tournament were awarded trophies, medals and commemorative gifts. Additionally, preventive awareness discussions were held with the participants during the event.

The organizers emphasized that the tournament's main goals were to strengthen unity among compatriots, promote a healthy lifestyle, foster an interest in sports and cultivate a sense of belonging to their homeland.
