CHEBOKSARY, October 23 /Dunyo IA/. Days of Uzbek Culture were held at the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Chuvash Republic, with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, to mark Uzbek Language Day, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by Valery Andreyev, Deputy Chairman of the Chuvash regional branch of the All-Russian public-state organization Assembly of the Peoples of Russia; Shomurod Yusupov, Honoured Artist of Uzbekistan and Chief Director of the Uzbek National Puppet Theatre; as well as representatives of national cultural associations and cultural institutions.

Speakers highlighted the role of the Uzbek language in preserving national identity, spiritual values and cultural heritage, emphasizing its importance in strengthening national unity and enhancing the country’s international image.

The cultural programme featured poetry and excerpts from the ghazals of classical Uzbek poets, as well as performances of traditional Uzbek dances.
