A presentation of the anthology of Uzbek literature of Tajikistan takes place in Dushanbe

• 454DUSHANBE, May 22. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan hosted a solemn presentation of the book “Anthology of Uzbek Literature of Tajikistan”, published through the joint efforts of the “Vatandoshlar” Public Fund and the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, reports Duny IA correspondent.
The event was attended by Ergash Shaismatov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan; Gayrat Majid, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan and renowned poet; Salim Ashur, Honored Journalist of Uzbekistan and poet; Gulandom Subkhanova, Chairperson of the Uzbek National Cultural Center of Tajikistan and recipient of the Order of “Dustlik”; staff members of the “Vatandoshlar” Public Fund; Muratali Tabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of Tajikistan; Bakhtiyor Murtazo, People's Poet of Tajikistan; Mastona Ergasheva, People's Artist of Tajikistan; as well as numerous poets, writers, scientists and members of the intelligentsia from both countries.
At the beginning of the event, the speakers emphasized the significance of the anthology, noting its not only literary but also historical and spiritual value. It was noted that this book represents an important step in popularizing the works of Uzbek authors living and creating in Tajikistan, as well as in preserving their literary heritage and passing it on to future generations.
The publication includes the finest works of 80 representatives of the Uzbek literature of Tajikistan, providing a vivid insight into the inner world, experiences, joys and aspirations of Uzbek authors living and working on Tajik soil.
The event participants specifically emphasized that cultural and literary ties between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have reached a new level in recent years. Literary meetings, joint publications, creative events, and cultural forums contribute to the further strengthening of the spiritual unity of the two peoples.
During the event, warm and sincere words were spoken about the centuries-old fraternal friendship between the Uzbek and Tajik nations. It was noted that the two peoples are united not only by a shared history but also by a common culture, values and literary heritage.
At the conclusion of the presentation, the participants expressed their confidence that this anthology will contribute to the further expansion of cooperation between the literary communities of the two countries.
