KUWAIT CITY, October 4. /Dunyo IA/.  A solemn reception was hosted in Kuwait City to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by over 250 individuals, including representatives of various government agencies of Kuwait, business circles, diplomatic corps accredited to the country, mass media and compatriots.

Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait, Abdulaziz Nasir Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, attended the event as the guest of honour.

Kuwaiti Minister highlighted the large-scale reforms implemented in New Uzbekistan under the leadership of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country's socio-economic development, its open and pragmatic foreign policy, as well as the strengthening of Uzbekistan's position within the international community.

Information was presented on the work being carried out in Uzbekistan to build a modern economy based on market principles, further improve the investment climate and create new opportunities for foreign partners.

It was noted that in recent years, political dialogue, trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kuwait have intensified significantly, with relations of friendship and mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries developing consistently.

During the event, a video presentation was showcased to the guests, highlighting the contemporary development of Uzbekistan, the nation's achievements across various sectors, as well as the expansion of cooperation with foreign states and international organizations.

Reception participants noted with satisfaction the high level of development in relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, emphasizing the existence of significant opportunities for the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations.

As part of the cultural program, the national traditions and rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan were extensively presented to the guests. A tasting of Uzbek national cuisine was organized for the participants, featuring traditional palov, flatbreads, grapes grown in the country and other national delicacies.

Within the framework of the reception, a specialized exhibition of national handicrafts and food products brought from Uzbekistan was also arranged. The guests had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the export and production potential of the country.
