RIGA, October 4. /Dunyo IA/.  A “roundtable” discussion featuring a group of Latvian entrepreneurs was hosted at the Embassy of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the event, participants were briefed on the favourable conditions established in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, investment opportunities, priority economic development sectors and prospects for implementing large-scale projects.

Latvian entrepreneurs expressed significant interest in the market of Uzbekistan and discussed prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation in industry, energy, logistics, agriculture and other sectors. In particular, the interest of Latvian agricultural producers in increasing the volume of mineral fertilizer supplies from Uzbekistan was highlighted.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the practical execution of the understandings attained, including the organization of a visit by a delegation of Latvian business circles to Uzbekistan on October 5–10^th. Furthermore, a business forum and B2B meetings are scheduled to be conducted in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Exporters Association.
