ТАSHKENT, July 9. /Dunyo IA/.   Today, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dedicated to the implementation of the initiatives put forward by the Head of State within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States in the fields of education, science and innovation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, hybrid event brought together nearly 30 representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Academy of Sciences, the Uzcosmos Agency, the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression, as well as higher education institutions that are members of the Union of Turkic Universities (TURKUNIB).

During the meeting, the participants discussed the work carried out within the framework of our country’s chairmanship in TURKUNIB, the current status of the Orkhun Academic Exchange Program, the introduction of educational grants for young people from Turkic states at the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies, as well as the development of a program to support joint research based at the International University of Turkic States.

At the same time, the participants exchanged views in detail on preparations for events planned to be held this year within the framework of the Organization, including the “Turkic Science and Innovation Days” and the preparations for the international scientific conference entitled “The works of Nizami Ganjavi and Alisher Navoi - in the Spiritual Life of the Turkic World”.
