MFA hosts talks with governor of Italy’s Tuscany region

TASHKENT, July 14. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting with the governor of Italy’s Tuscany region, Eugenio Giani, was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the MFA, governor Eugenio Giani noted that his visits to Samarkand and Bukhara had enabled him to gain a deeper understanding of Uzbekistan’s economic potential and its rich cultural heritage.
The parties held comprehensive discussions on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Tuscany in the fields of trade, investment, culture, and humanitarian exchanges.
Particular attention was devoted to the significant potential for cooperation in the textile industry, healthcare, agriculture, jewellery manufacturing, education, culture, and tourism.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to intensify joint efforts aimed at further strengthening interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tuscany.
Today, Tuscany is one of Italy’s most economically advanced regions, distinguished by its strong industrial base, high-tech manufacturing, modern agricultural sector, world-renowned winemaking industry, and thriving tourism sector.
The regional capital, Florence, is widely recognized as the cradle of the Renaissance, a period that made an enduring contribution to the development of world culture, science, and the arts.
